The piece has as its starting point the urban and traditional culture of our artisanal imagery. Black Pearl is in every way similar to a filigree jewel, made of aluminum and glass and composed of pieces which are interlaced and welded in 4 types, forming an attractive and delicate plot.
The Black Pearl is manufactured in a limited edition and sold exclusively through Pedro Sousa Studio. It is the first in a series of 12 in which 2 pieces are prototypes, 2 artist proofs and a series of 8 pieces all numbered and authenticated by the designer. Black Pearl was released in 2010 at the 1st Biennial of Architecture and Design in Viana do Castelo.
