Monochrome

— Boca do Lobo

At the beginning, the designer was a little skeptical to take the geometry of a MDF console shell and turn it into fiberglass molding. The Monochrome is built from three separate modules and assembled into a unique shape.

Both materials couldn’t be more different. While plywood and MDF impose a lot of restraints on the shape of the shell, fiberglass molding allows for great formal freedom. After long discussions and careful evaluations, the team decided to try it and succeeded. This proves an interesting point.

Thanks to a demonstration of both imagination and design skills combined with exceptional craftsmanship, a simple and beautiful fiberglass console was created, one that would never have been done otherwise.
